We believe in the practice of "quality over quantity"!
Becoming a competent horseman or horsewoman is a title that is earned. It comes from hard work and knowledge of not just how to sit in the saddle and ride, but also understanding the horse and why he responds to us the way he does. These things are often overlooked but are necessary in order to build the proper foundation of true horsemanship!
We call this "Balanced Horsemanship" and it's what sets us apart.

A little about Lisa...
Like a typical little girl, Lisa started when she decided that she wanted a pony. In her words, it all began with "a love for horses that has lasted the past 40+ years." (even though she's still in her 30's!)
Lisa began showing horses at age 5 and quickly realized that the "speed" events were right up her alley. Although she was built for speed, she also has shown "Rail" classes because of her love for a certain Blue-eyed, Bald-face Paint named "Tonka" Because of that same Blue-eyed boy she has expanded her showing experience into the Showmanship Halter AND English Pleasure Ring. She has ridden in many local shows, NBHA (National Barrel Racing Association), AQHA and even a little rodeo.
Lisa places an emphasis on supporting local shows. She says "without these local venues, the up and coming riders would have no place to show". As part of that involvement, she served as Secretary 2010 -2011 AND Points Secretary 2011-2014 for TVSCA which is governed by AOHA (Alabama Open Horse Association)
In 2015, recognizing a need, she expanded her Annual Have Fun or Go Home Fun Show to a 6 show Buckle Series that will give yet another venue for new up and coming riders to compete.
Lisa is an accomplished instructor and has been giving lessons for most of her adult life. In 2009, after being an accountant for 20 years, she decided to leave the corporate world behind and place her full time focus on teaching riding.
